AI SEO Helper in Devaka Tools Bookmarklet

Recently, the DevakaTools bookmarklet was updated. An AI SEO Helper module was added — it integrates ChatGPT into the browser and allows you to converse with an LLM about the page’s content without leaving the site. This significantly speeds up SEO analysis and enables solving various complex tasks. Now we can say that DevakaTools is AI-powered. 🙂

There are ready-made prompts for optimizing titles and meta descriptions, assessing content quality, extracting keywords from content, and finding additional relevant phrases for optimization, etc. You can also use your own (custom) prompts for different tasks. Try it out to see how well it works and share your feedback!

The bookmarklet is configured once, and you can use these settings across different sites. If you use custom prompts, they are saved per domain.

To use the AI Helper you need to:

  1. Generate an API Key for ChatGPT. You can do this here:
    https://platform.openai.com/api-keys
  2. Use the new API Key to make key management easier.
  3. By default, the cheapest model is used. But you can change it, and this will also be saved for future use. In testing, I made about 160+ requests to the ChatGPT API, which cost approximately $0.4.
  4. You can use any ChatGPT response language that’s convenient for you. English is used by default. It’s better to switch the language depending on the language of the site being analyzed.

After you select a prompt, click Analyze and wait for the response. The wait time depends on the page size and the chosen model, but it’s usually under 5 seconds.

Not all of the page’s code is sent to ChatGPT; it’s cleaned of unnecessary tags and attributes. This is done to save tokens, make the request cheaper, and speed up the analysis.

Examples of custom prompts:

  • Provide a list of entities mentioned in the content
  • How promotional does the text look?
  • Can this site be trusted?
  • Who is the target audience of this site? Describe in detail
  • What calls to action are used in the content?

Don’t analyze only websites—you can also send prompts while you’re on Google’s search results page. Ask about the quality of the search results, the categories of sites in the list, the calls to action being used, or frequent keywords; ask it to assemble an optimal title based on titles that already exist, etc.

Beyond the SERP, you can analyze Ahrefs reports or other systems =) If you find an interesting way to use AI Helper for your purposes—share it!

Enjoy!
